Editorial Standards

Mercolypublishes guides to help businesses grow and help customers make confident decisions. Here’s how we make them and how to reach us.

Who writes our guides

Mercoly's guides are produced by the Mercoly Editorial Team — the people who build and operate the platform — to help business owners grow and help customers find and evaluate local businesses. Our aim is practical, accurate, plain-language guidance you can act on.

How we write them

Each guide starts from a real question business owners or customers ask. We draft with AI assistance and editorial oversight, then hold every article to the same bar: it must answer the question it promises, be specific to its topic, and add something a reader can use — not restate the obvious. We use price ranges, checklists, and comparisons drawn from public industry data where they help.

Sourcing and accuracy

Where we cite figures — typical costs, timelines, what to look for — we base them on public, reputable sources and label them as general guidance, not quotes for a specific job. Prices and availability vary by location and provider; always confirm details directly with the business you choose.

Keeping guides current

We review and update guides as industries, prices, and best practices change, and we show the last-updated date on every article. If you spot something out of date or incorrect, tell us and we'll fix it.

Independence and corrections

Our guidance is editorially independent of which businesses advertise or subscribe on Mercoly. If we get something wrong, email us and we'll correct it promptly.
